iPad can the ipad 2 ios 6+ be jailbroken?

no the only devices that can be jailbroken (tethered) is pre A5 devices
in the future.. you can take 10 seconds and look here for any question if your device can be jailbroken http://jailbrea.kr/

I pretty much have the same situation. I am holding on my ipad2 with iOS 5.0.1 since there is no JB available for 6.0
But then missing all the goodies of 6.0.
Is everybody in the same boat? Or any other work around suggestions?

What goodies?
iOS 6 is useless ... the main new feature was maps, and Google Maps is far better IMO at least at present.
I'd rather have 5.1.1 on my iPhone 5 and have it userland jailbroken ...

i upgraded mine to 6.0 sadly the only thing i like is the imessage synchronization between my ipad3 and iphone 5.

iOS 6 did improve this but as long as your "send from" was your apple ID it worked

Yea that was a pain .. never understood why this cloud feature was never implemented with iMEssage in iOS 5.
Either way I'd still rather have my JB and deal with that crappy oversight 😛

No, you cant. The software jailbreaking uses cant handle the A6 chip or iOS6. Sorry, might as well go play Minecraft now. :3
