can the MBP use other media players

when i use the remote to view movies, can i set up the MBP to use a different movie playing application , rather than quicktime?

im not sure that you can, if you canq find a pluggin for the applicaion you want to use them you could see, but i havent heard of any before.

The VLC "media player" supports the remote.

I use it to watch my videos full-screen.
