Can the new Imac 2017 be used as external display ?

Any idea if now, after Kaby lake refresh and 2 thunderbolt 3 ports, the new imac 2017 ( 27 inch) be used as an external monitor ? like hooking a windows PC to it , to game on...
up until now, previous 5k imac models couldnt be used as external monitors...

I have a PC with GTX 1080, and wondering if i can hook it up to the new imac..

Best we can tell so far is that it is still not possible. I am guessing Apple is still using custom timing controllers to provide the 60Hz refresh rate.
