iPhone 13 mini Can the the Apple clear case damage the phone

I am trying the apple clear case on my 13 mini. I installed it, wasn’t sure about it, went back to silicone, and then decided to try it again. I just removed it for a second time and decided it’s not for me. It’s pretty stiff plastic and was a bit tough to pry off the phone. Could installing/removing the case damage the phone by squeezing it too hard or pressing in on the buttons too hard?

I have the exact same case and I stopped using it for this reason. It felt like it was going to break the mute switch. I just got naked instead.

Everything seems to working with the mute switch thankfully. Hopefully 2 installs/removals wasn’t enough to do any other damage.
