I want to replace my current HDD with new SSD, here is the steps I will do, please help me identify if this is feasible!!!

    1. Put ssd in a external hard drive enclosure
    2. Connect the external SSD drive to MBP
    3. Back up the entire OS and files with time machine
    4. Remove the enclosure, take out ssd
    5. Put SSD in mu MBP, replacing HDD

    Will this work?

A time machine backup is not bootable. It is not a clone. You need SuperDuper or CarbonCopyClone.
