Can time machine overwrite the incremental backups?

Is there a way for time machine to overwrite the incremental backups in the second iteration instead of simply copy and multiply the contents of the drive?.

The second back up only copies incremental changes.

If you want just simply images, might have to consider setting up a schedule using a program like CCC.
