not so much anymore with the new notebooks. its actually very reasonable just to have them do it. no longer outrageous.

No, a minimum of 16GB of RAM is necessary to play even very low-res content. Don't let anyone else tell you otherwise.

There is nothing that will ever convince me of this.

On Apple's site it says $150 more for 2GB more of RAM. Same thing available from Crucial for $68, or a 2GB chip for $33. Seriously!
