or do i need to bump up to the 4GB model? thanks=]
2 is plenty
2GB is plenty. If you do add more memory do your wallet a favor and DO NOT BUY FROM APPLE. It's a ripoff pure and simple.
not so much anymore with the new notebooks. its actually very reasonable just to have them do it. no longer outrageous.
2gb is adequate for most things now.
No, a minimum of 16GB of RAM is necessary to play even very low-res content. Don't let anyone else tell you otherwise.
Kidding, if you want to see a handy guide for video playback requirements (though this is for Quicktime) see here.
There is nothing that will ever convince me of this.
On Apple's site it says $150 more for 2GB more of RAM. Same thing available from Crucial for $68, or a 2GB chip for $33. Seriously!
$71 per 2GB stick. http://www.crucial.com/store/mpartspecs.aspx?mtbpoid=EB3FAA4EA5CA7304&pid=1548159
