I know USB 3.0 PCI Express cards "compatible" with Mac Pro have been around for some time, but they all had some limitations (like LaCie's card working only with their disks, etc.), recently though I saw this:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/ORICO-PFU3-2O2I-Express-internal-compatible/dp/B008V3UU8U

From the specifics it should work out of the box with OS X 10.8.2, has anyone tried it? Does it actually work as it should, with any USB 3.0 device?

There is quite a large thread about the state of USB 3 on the Mac Pro already. All of the answers are in it.

Even shorter cut get an ORICO PFU3-2P card with Fresco chip for native support in Mac OS-X 10.8.2.
