The best you're going to get is to hide forums from the forum spy listing.

I'm not clear on why Threads have to disappear. Nobody is forced to read them, or participate in them. I can't see where just seeing the Titles creates such an intense reaction.

While I fully agree that many threads, throughout the Forum, are of questionable value at best, and silly nonsense at worst...just reading the Title and ignoring them seems a reasonable strategy.

While I enjoy participating in many of the threads, including some of the really silly ones (my perverse sense of enjoyment), I can also just ignore the Threads that pop up on Forum Spy with titles which are obviously of no interest...for whatever reason.

As SandboxGeneral points out, if there are particular sub-forums are of no interest (for me, sub-fora such as the coding and programming type threads are of no interest as they are totally over my head), they can just be put on you sub-forum Ignore List.
