I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere but will we be able to remove the stock apps from the watch? For instance I never use the "Stock" stock app on my phone and will never use it on my watch. So will we be able to delete them or will they be permanent like all the other iOS apps?

I highly doubt it.

Why would you think they would give us the option on the watch when they've never given us the option on the phone? I seriously doubt they will. They want the user experience to be consistent across devices for follow on users who buy the product after seeing it on a friend, a colleague, etc.

I highly doubt it.

Why does Apple insist on doing this? It must be only a small fraction of iPhone users who ever use the stock app, or who don't find the imposition of at least one of the standard apps annoying.

Personally, I don't use the stock app, Apple's Weather app (not a patch on Pocket Weather Australia), the voice memos app, the Newstand, the Videos app, the Podcast App (not a patch on Downcaster) or the Tips app or (yet) the Watch app. Yet there they all are, cluttering my phone.

Apple's version of bloatware. They should be optional, and it's ridiculous that they aren't. I am sure the stock apps on the watch will be the same.

This is interesting.

I have never understood the hate for not being to remove iPhone apps - I just put them in a folder, put that on the last page and get on with my life.

But on the Watch it is hard to park them somewhere low key.

The sizing, layout and usability of the app screen is something I think will be up for a major revision in the future.

my question is when will we be able to ADD the stocks app for the iPad. It's so easy to track my stocks each day, read convenient free stories, and analyze basic charts. I love this app and use it almost as much as mail and safari.

If you mean the Watch, there is a stocks complication for Watchfaces - which if you tap it will take you to the app I believe.
