can windows be installed without a optical drive?

just hoping any of you know if windows xp can be installed without optical drive. either fusion, parallel, or boot camp?
 
yes if you have a disk image (iso) of XP. otherwise you need an external optical since remote disk doesn't work with installing foreign OS
