Can you add AppleCare if you buy used?

If I buy a used computer less than 1 year old. Can I add on AppleCare in my name? Thanks.

(I did a search and didn't find an answer.)

Yes, AppleCare is attached to the serial number, not the owner.

You should be able to. The warranty follows the computer anyway. Why don't you call and ask Apple instead of asking here? 🙂

I called the Apple the other day and confirmed on behalf of a buyer of the computer.
