I know Apple said that those new headphones would have a microphone built-in that would work with the Touch, but what exactly would you be able to do with that? 😕😕😕

we iphone owners feel screw, now with the ipod touch you'll be able to
make voip (skype) calls, there is an app for that, so one reason less why no to buy iphone 3g

I thought there was no VoIP app out yet. In any case, all the apps that implement microphones either are just for iPhone (can't be installed) or that feature is sort of 'blocked' in the app on the Touch.

See the problem? You get your nice new headphones with the mic. built-in, and none of the apps will let you use it! ARG!

Give the developers some time. They'll update their apps to be more compatible.

While there is not much to do with it yet, I love the potential. Voice command? Voice detection activation? Voice memos? Lie detector? Alcohol/substance abuse detector (based on slurred or unusual speech patterns)?

It will simply take creative programmers to put it to good use.
