Have you tried it yourself and got a different result? Excuse my ignorance, but is there some kind of significance in the revision I don't know about
As a matter of fact, yes I have.. check my previous post before posting anything.

A1 as well.

I really thought my MBP had the GPU heat issues, since my GPU is always between 60 and 70'C. But I have no other temperatures to compare to.

Fans will go on full blast for no reason, and the only high temperatures are the GPU and AirPort Card (reaching 67'C sometimes).

I'm baffled. My fans usually are about 2800rpm (even though SMC is set to 2000rpm base).

This creates a racket - my 2nd gen MBP never made so much noise!

Revision ID: 0x00a1.

Purchased: July 9th, 2007 (SR).

No issues 'til now.

What do you mean 'til now? Everything has been running fine and now you have an 'issue' because Nvidia reported a problem that you have not experienced yet? Or your Nvidia card has stopped working?

with heavy multitasking and extensive usage (5-8 hours) my gpu diode is showing 43C-57C and never seen it go past 57-58C. Only when I had 30+ apps opened with parallels I've seen it at highest of 68C but never at 70C. I never play any games either though..

I've been using my mbp doing my usual things and so far its been idling at 51C and my 2 fans are always at 1997-2001 rpm and never seen it go higher than that..

A1 here. My GPU temp is normally 62-65 degrees C and highest I have seen is 81 degrees C when playing X-Plane. I have read GPU's can handle up to 90 degrees C safely.

Someone else told me that gpu's crap out around 130C.
