Can you help me with activation?

so my new iPhone is coming tomorrow. I’m up grading from my 6 plus to an Xs max on Verizon.

When UPS delivers it how do I activate it? Do I need to call Verizon?

This is the first time I have not activated in store.

Transfer the SIM from the 6+ to your new Xs Max iPhone. If it doesn't activate automatically, then give Verizon a call and have them do it for you.
