If I am running Spaces (snow leopard) is there a way so that each space has a different DESKTOP view? That is, I could have a folder appear in space 1, but not 2, 3 or 4? Or is this only do-able by using different accounts?

It is not possible within OSX itself and currently there aren't any programms either that will allow you to change each space the way you describe: folders, stacks etc.

The best I can come up with are these two programms (I am not sure if they work well with Snow Leopard)

SpaceSuit lets you set a different wallpaper for each space
Hyperspaces does the same as SpaceSuit, but with the option of adding colors, text labels, but not the ability to alter the content itself in every space.

Maybe I'll try two different accounts, and see how that goes, but I will look into the products you mention.

Thanks for the reply.

You can't make them automatically open in different spaces, but you can manually move folders between spaces and/or open folders in different spaces.
