Can you list the current issues with the rMBP?

...it's bit tedious though that so few of the audio-apps & plug ins isn't optimized for retina yet still! apple themselves didn't release a retina-optimized Logic Pro until more than a year after the rMBP was first available!

myself, I haven't got any real use for an optical drive anymore, so the drive on the cMBP 15" feels a bit unnecessary... my dream machine right now would be the cMBP Hi-Res BTO ANTIGLARE screen, with the rest of the rMBP's body - for the optimal performance & cooling - and with a screen thats shows the best of all audio apps old and new without fuzziness.... (but my four year old MBP17 AG with ssd keeps working really nice with all current audio apps for my needs so I guess I won't go the fuzzy retinaroute for at least a year still...)

So logic looks like crap on retina then? Any other issues with Logic or is it just visual?

You didn't read all I wrote? Logic X looks like it should - now. There is no retina-specific issues on Logic that I know of, Logic Pro 9 just didn't look so nice on the screen (for over a year!). Don't know about pro tools, but all other daws and plug ins are yet the be retina-fixed.... It's not going fast.

You didn't read all I wrote? Logic X looks like it should - now. There is no retina-specific issues on Logic that I know of, Logic Pro 9 just didn't look so nice on the screen (for over a year!). Also got a bit confused when you said that your dream computer wouldn't have retina (which made me think that it'd look bad) maybe Logic is fine, but I guess other plug-ins, not related to apple, might not ever be optimized for retina.

But is it THAT bad when using non-retina optimized software? I mean for plug-ins or other DAWs. Is it so fuzzy that it's hard to see or just minor blur here and there that doesn't really matter a lot?

ive used fcp 7 on my retina i feel more attached to that then fcpx. Not much of a difference between the cMbp but heck editing/exporting/rendering is much more faster.

UI and a lot of scroll lag is fixed in Mavericks.

Got mine a few months ago and love it! However been noticing some rattling coming from the inside of the unit? Feels and sounds like something is loose, taking to Apple tomorrow and will see what the deal is...
