hey guys can you mirror and iPhone to Apple TV 4K without WiFi? I have a chromecast but can’t use it without WiFi. I was thinking about looking into an Apple TV. What’s the ups and downs?

The "Lightning Digital AV Adapter" can output from the phone to a TV without Wi-Fi, although there's apparently some quality loss. Still, it might do what you need.

Ok thanks I was just hoping the Apple TV did to.

Where is the problem with wifi?
To make it clear - you do not need internet connection or set up wifi network, to make AirPlay work.
But you will need to enable wifi adapter on both aTV and iDevice, as the only other wireless communication channel on these devices - bluetooth - does not have enough bandwidth to transfer video.

I have WiFi at home but when I go to certain places I don’t have WiFi but my hotspot on my phone. And some places like my girlfriends dads house there WiFi doesn’t work sometimes and is very slow. I could take that with me and watch movies on the tv from my phone.

Peer-to-peer AirPlay should fit that usecase exactly.
