I realize that iPads probably can't precision track and AirTag, but can an AirTag already paired with an iPhone also be paired with an iPad from the same account? e.g. I would like to have updated location info on my iPad's "FindMy" app. It would be nice if this info was cloud stored so it could be used with all devices in the account, but apparently it single device only.

I'll be able to test, but I'm assuming it will show up on all my devices that share the same apple id.

The Air Tags aren't "paired" with a phone, but rather the phone or iPad is used to register them to your iCloud account. From there you can locate them via the "FindMy" app...

They are kinda cool. They are like any Apple device that you can locate, except that's all they do :D

But I imagine that little 'find my' map could get pretty crowded. And I'll bet people will find all sorts of weird issues with these over time.

The FindMy app has separate categories for “people”, “devices” and “items”. The Tags are an “item”. The map doesn’t get crowded.
