Can you purchase bands separately after buying apple watch?

I have a Apple sports watch that I ordered, would it be possible to buy the milanese or the black link band and attach it to my watch? Or are those bands only for the regular Apple watch and not the sports one?

Both sport and watch model bands are interchangeable, if they will match is a different story.

They will work and of course, you can purchase them, but I would hold off for a bit. There's bound to be a flood of third party bands on the market very soon and they won't be charging the exorbitant price Apple is.

Yes, I saw those on kickstarter. Look brilliant and opens up the strap options almost infinitely!

Every band except the Black Link and the Gold Band's are available for purchase separately at http://store.apple.com/us/watch/bands. The connector is universal on the Watches, as long as you have the right size (38mm or 42mm).

And the online band swapping happens through the online store, even if you go to an Apple store in person. But they have no band inventory until they start selling bands, which is still weeks if not months away.

I have ordered the Space gray Watch sport and the black leather loop. I think they will much nice. I didn't want to spend more and get the milanaise loop, but I think space gray is also nice.
