I have an original iphone with a dead battery. A few Months ago I ordered the cheapest chinese battery I could find and was pleased to see that it worked. But a short while after fitting it, it stopped working. Either the battery was rubbish, or I fluffed up the soldering job and killed the battery (the phone was still in pieces when the battery stopped working).

So, I should buy a new one. Shall I get the cheapest possible battery from ebay again (which is about £2) or does anyone have any recommendations from a decent supplier. I am in the UK.

I know you get what you pay for, but I have a suspicion that even if I paid £20, I could still end up with exactly the same cheapo battery as I got for £2.
