I'm trying to figure out if Pages or one of the programs will record my lectures while im taking notes. Anyone know if the program is capable?

Record how?
Audio, video or the text you write onto something else?
If it's audio, you could use Audacity, Audio Hijack, GarageBand or even QuickTime Pro to record it via the built in microphone.
Same goes with video, as most modern Macs have an iSight integrated, and you can record that signal via iMovie.
Or am I understanding something wrong here by "recording lectures"?

OmniOutliner will do recordings, and I think Circus Ponies Notebook will as well.
Wouldn't forget about Livescribe, now that they have a Mac beta out, if pen 'n paper is your bag.

Yes I am talking about audio. I know garageband is on my mac but are the other programs I need to buy or already on the mac (I just bought my mac book this summer)?
