i never really thought about streaming moves to my laptop till just a few minutes ago. i have a desktop with a router hookt up to it so i enabled sharing and just now finishd streaming 720p to my laptop, pretty neat but until now i never really cared about the idea. so,as the question goes, can i stream with a mac from a xp or vista machine and is it complicated or easy as 123

I do it all the time with a couple Mac Minis I have set up as media centers. The majority of the content I play on them is stored on external harddrives connected directly to the minis, but occasionally I'll want to play a ripped DVD that resides on the one of the PCs. All I do is put an alias to movie folder location in the "Movies" folder on the Mac. I can then play any movie in that folder throught front row. Could not be easier. Cover art even shows up
