rui no onna Contributor Mar 1, 2018 #2 I believe so. I've had no issues swapping my Verizon SIM on iPad Air and newer.

What if it's unlocked? Kinda weird since I don't see any 'Sprint' versions for the second gen 12.9, but my sons 9.7 2017 iPad is Sprint.

I’m pretty sure they are unlocked - at least AT&T and Verizon models are (I have an old Mini 2 on AT&T that I swap with my Mini 4’s Verizon sim).

F fivenotrump macrumors 6502a Mar 2, 2018 #10 I swap often between the included Apple SIM (using AOW) and U.K. and Sweden SIMs.

While Sprint did used to lock their SIM cards to one specific device, I believe they've stopped that practice. Alas, sorry, couldn't confirm. No issues with swapping AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon SIM cards (at least with iPad Air and newer).
