Can you upgrade the SSD on 2013/2014 MBA?

Would it be possible to update the SSD on the MBA? I know you can't upgrade the memory but I've heard its possible to upgrade the SSD.

Theoratically yes, but they are not available yet.

Apparently OWC is going to have kits by the end of the year, up to 2TB from what I was told.

^^^^So will Transcend. In the meantime, there are sometimes offerings on eBay. SSDs from the Nmp will fit in and work in the MBA 2013 and 2014 models.

Just a matter of opening the lower case, pulling out the battery connector, removing 5 screws holding the battery..

Don't even have to pull the battery connector. That's just a precaution.

Whenever you work on sensitive circuits such as these any connection to a power source should be disconnected.
