it is possible, I dont wanna get booted from this forum so im not gonna say to much, but if you google "mac on a PC" you might find some good info
You'd be able to put in the Core 2 Extreme X7900 but one more it wouldn't be worth it.So as I understand you can swap CPU? I just lately got c2d 2.4, but in future to stay with everybody else to put more powerful CPU.

Even my 1.8Ghz Pentium 4 will play games faster than the very fastest Mac Pro.
It is NOT the processor, it is the lousy GPU that your Mac came with.
In general this is true however there are a few CPU intensive games where the processor makes a large difference as well, such as the Sims 2. Or if you are playing intense chess programs they can max out the CPU and take 5-10mins to move on a 2Ghz Athlon 64.
