Hey everyone, I have a lot of interest in the HomePod but still have a question that would help my purchase decision along. I use Discord a lot for chatting to buddies during gaming tourneys and the like, and I would love to be able to airplay the audio to the HomePod so I don't have to rely on my phone's tiny speakers.

The question I have is, can you airplay to the HomePod and use it as a speakerphone, like you can with ordinary phone calls, including using the homepod's Mics? This would be awesome if possible.

You can use the homrpod as a speaker phone but you'll still need to talk into the phone. I'm not sure why as the homepod had microphones but the current setup is that it's a speaker only when it comes to the phone

Yeah, it’s a kind of stupid SiriKit limitation. Hopefully it’s one of the things they rectify among the other changes they’re making for its next revision. Roll on WWDC.

Ahh that’s a shame. Yeah if you can do that via the phone app it should be possible via third party apps. Fingers crossed this gets addressed.
