Hi guys,

I & my friend are both Mac users and we are thinking about purchasing Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac.

Does anyone know if this software is a family package that allows different users to use it?
If so, I would be saving half the cost as I'm spending 50% while my friend's also spending the other 50.

Can this work? How about VMware Fusion 3.0?

Office on Multiple Macs

Microsoft Office for Mac Student & Teacher Edition allows installation on up to 3 Macs in one home. If you want to install in different locations you would not be able to without a business license and a lot more moolah.

I have the "not-for-resale" student edition which includes only one license. I installed it on two computers. It works, as long as both are not on the net and using Office at the same time. Turning off Airport is easy, though.

However, it costs 30$, so I can't complain 😀

EDIT: oh and by the way, the license allows it to be installed on two computers. It's a "one user, two computers" license, in other words.
