Well, that's unfortunate that so many businesses think that way (I'm not debating that they do), because it's baloney.

Yes, corporations need to make a profit... but this maximize profits at any cost stuff is just bad business. Lots of stuff doesn't show up in the spreadsheets, yet has huge impacts. Doing the right thing matters in the long-run. There is always a moral high-ground.
