I work for one of the major telco's in Canada. For some ridiculous reason, Canadian carriers DO NOT allow prepaid on the iPad 3. You must sign up for a monthly plan which includes a credit check and all that BS ($35 activation fee etc). Essentially means anyone from outside Canada can't really sign up....
