Got a full charge pending on my account.
In years past, I would not get the charge show up until I got the phone or the day before I received the phone. They may have changed how things are done this year?
Also, usually only get the “Shipped” notification on the Thursday before Friday delivery. Somehow, notifications are delayed in Canada. Mine is still on “processing”. I know some in the States have gotten the “Preparing to ship “ notification.

Not happy to say the least. Ordered the 12 Pro Max 128GB w/ AC+. Paid with a 1700 Apple GC and balance on AMEX. For reasons that make no sense, Apple's billing system went in for another authorization of the just the AppleCare+ amount on the gift card, which has a zero balance because it was used as part of the purchase. It has now caused a payment issue which won't be resolved on their end until Monday. Will likely lead to my phone not being shipped for delivery on the 13th.
I originally pre-ordered the 12 Pro with Freedom Mobile here in Ontario through one of their store locations. Worst mistake ever as they still haven't filled my pre-order and have no ETA on availability.
So I just cancelled my order and placed a pre-order for the 12 Pro Max through their corporate website. Hoping I have better luck this time around.

This is exactly happened with me, i did mentioned earlier. In my case it went to my credit card.
I understand that authorization, but not sure why they would try to see if there are funds on a gift card in which the whole balance was used towards the purchase.
Anyway, I cancelled that order. Re-ordered for pickup in store Friday, paid solely with my AMEX. It’ll take 3-5 days for the amount to be refunded to the gift card. When I pick up my order, I’ll have the purchase refunded in store and the gift card applied.

Yeah I got a random $261.45 last night as well, around 9:30pm PST. Not sure why, will be checking with Apple on it though.
I'm in BC actually. My first transaction from CC was full amount for phone plus AC+. If they did the AC+ separate, it should be $278.88.
I went over my payment details, it seems they have charged me for AC+ as an extra charge. My total for phone with tax was $2473.04, they took $2455.61 that morning, which leaves $17.43 as underpaid. Basically they have overcharged me $244.02.

I called apple earlier they mentioned it's 'hold' charge for AC+ and will go away when it's shipped or if you cancel.
did anyone preorder iphone mini or pro max through a wireless carrier & pick-up after? do you think you will get it when it launch on friday? i did not pay it fully cuz it was too much. what i did was i preorder & then pay the upfront fee then pay $33 every month for the phone itself
I ordered through Telus, PM. They never gave me the option of pick up though. Only delivery. Same boat why I ordered through Telus. Way to expensive to buy on its own for myself

$1540 for the Mini and AC and $208 for the AC hold.
Always weird that they put that extra hold on the card. I remember early summer that happened when I ordered a new watch from them - I ended up cancelling the order because I thought they had made a mistake. Re-ordered just the watch, then bought AC+ when I picked it up in person 🤣

I Preordered my Black 256GB Mini via Fido’s website and choose my store location for store pickup as my buddy hooks it up with plans/free case/fees waved
Pre ordered my wife a Gold 12 pro max 256gb through my Telus dealer. Just waiting for her to message me when it’s there.
also got my stepson an awesome deal on an iPhone 11 for $5 a month with $190 buy out at the end or just return it after 2 years. I enjoy some of my work perks here and there lol

Was your Telus order through EPP? When I went and checked EPP through my portal the Max and Mini were only getting like a $24-26 discount and that was off a slightly inflated base price vs Apple's price. Where as my 12Pro I ordered earlier was $120 discount. Just curious if others are seeing such a low discount through Telus EPP on the Max and Mini. I'm not sure if there are different EPP rates depending on your EPP program or if it is always the same regardless of company/association that is signed up for the EPP program? This was my first time using an EPP program through my professional association.

same happened when i bought my apple watch a few weeks ago..got charged extra for AC+...thats why i didnt buy it this time

Through epp and no, not much discount, it’s the se and the 11 on for heavy discounts. iPhone Se 64gb is $2.50 a month for 24 months. $60 for a new iPhone is hard to beat lol
