Canada iPhone 6 thread!

They only show, that shipments will be delayed and that apple will get new shipments every week...so little info...
did anyone else order from telus' website? i just put in an order for the 6 plus earlier and it said it will ship by october 6. i thought these would be more scarce nearly a week after ordering. is canada not suffering from the small 6 plus stock like the us?
Couldn't preorder when the preorders went live as I was in the hospital, but I preordered a 128GB iPhone 6 on Sunday night. It is still in processing and I have a delivery date of October 3-8th.
Stuck in bed and as long as I get it by the 7th, which is my birthday, I'll be happy as I'll have something to look forward to.
Anyone else have the same delivery date as me?

Just a weird thing I noticed. I order a bunch of stuff and have them delivered by UPS. Usually I get it between 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. When I ordered my iPhone 5, 5S, and iPad Air I always had it delivered between 8-9 p.m. Not a big deal, just found it weird/interesting.
Stuck in bed and as long as I get it by the 7th, which is my birthday, I'll be happy as I'll have something to look forward to.

Why? It'll be in Calgary tonight, possiblely any time now and out for delivery tomorrow morning... Toronto will get it sooner due to time zones.
Mainly due to quantity, same issue last time they couldn't promise before 12pm because they only have so many drivers and they can only do so much. As it was my UPS guy hadn't stopped all day and was on his 12th hour. I wasn't his final drop off either. I'm not saying we won't get it before 12 I'm saying what it says on the UPS delivery slip that we'll get it 'By End of Day' normally if you use Express Saver it says right on there, delivery 'Before 12pm' but this time it doesn't and it's for the reason I mentioned above.

Depends on what model you picked, the 6 16gb and 128gb were easy to get the rest of the models not so much. Also it depends on the colour too, Space Grey is the easiest with Silver next and Gold being the hardest to get. The Plus models were really popular and Apple didn't produce as many so they went really quickly and are backordered now into October.

Yep same here normally my UPS guy comes around 5pm but with Apple stuff he's way later because of how many more drop offs he has to do. Not his fault but would be nice to get it earlier.

wonder how soon it's prepare for pickup after missed delivery. or does ups try another delivery?
Yep they try again. But you can be proactive if you know you will miss the shipment, leave a note to deliver to a neighbor or arrange to pick it up.

Just from what I read on their link, if you know you will miss the UPS delivery, you could call them to arrange a delivery time/day where you can be there, which saves both you and the driver some time and effort.

Think most of us have a data plan as it just seems a shame to have such a cool phone and not be able to use it whenever we want. You can get small amounts of data added to a pay as you go account which allow you to check emails and surf the web when you are out and about. I dunno I couldn't be without it..lol..am an addict.

I just find that most places nowadays have wifi, that's why I can't fathom some of the data plans out there that are $60 plus.
I know my plan is cheap, $20 for unlimited text, calls to 10 ppl unlimited, 100 anytime mins. It's a bare bones plan but when I got it back in 2010, my only criteria was unlimited texting. I had an Htc wildfire at that point whi my daughter now uses, and I've had the 4S for a year'ish
I suppose I shoul look and see what kind of pay as u go could add some data, even just a wee bit for the odd occasion that I don't have wifi. I bet they've rly come down in pric since I ser looked into em.

Yep same here, for me there's a flight out at 1am EDT that gets in at 2am MDT so am thinking Calgary's will be on that and then on to the smaller flights. Not sure about Fort Mac, prob a flight to Edmonton and then an early morning flight to FM.

Oh yeah for 250MB or 500MB it should be fairly cheap. The prices are ridiculous I agree, your plan is amazing. Never let it go!! I used to have an employee plan that was $17 a month and I stupidly gave it up to upgrade my phone, never doing that again. That's why I didn't upgrade with my carrier as they want to charge me more for less so I just bit the bullet this time and said I'd buy outright.

I'm having my iPhone delivered to my place of work - although when checking out from the Apple Store I didn't check "Business Address".
I work right downtown Toronto - and a delivery time of "End of Day" 19/9...

I fully intend on ignoring the bell solicitations trying to get me to give up this plan.
I haven't done the math of buying outright but based on what I've seen others figure out, I think there's substantial savings when buying outright.
Ummmmm, what time is your work open till?
There's reall no way in knowing for sure BUT I would feel safe to assume that bigger cities will be delivered to before smaller ones like where I am. Is yours coming from Concord as well? I'd assume the drivers would go to the cities which have the most deliveries first, so there'd be a good chance that Toronto would be done before the end of biz hours.
But that is just my assumptions, take em for what they're worh.
