Yup, iStock. I've had a few close calls with iStock and with just trying at 6am (as in I can select a phone, and schedule pick-up) but the phones are always gone by the time I hit checkout.

Can you reserve via contract then buy the phone outright? I have no intention of signing a contract...

Yes

That's how I got mine. I just woke up. Clicked as fast as I could and reserved at the first time available.

I walked into the store at my designated time and bought it outright without contract with no issues.

Well, f**k. There goes a week of my life 🙂 Thanks for the pro tip, I'll give it a go the next time I can. With my pre-ordered phone now reporting an indefinite delivery (and my in-person preference for the non-SG after ordering the SG), this is likely the way to go.

Mine says delivery date unknown. Always has. Was stuck in zhengzhou for a few days now stuck in Incheon.

Same here. My departure scan was 6:50pm KST Nov 13 in Inchion. Looks like it’s on UPS53. Finally on the move, but UPS really drops the ball. Mine sat for 4 days in Inchion. Delivery shifted to Nov 16th. Disappointing to say the least 🙁

Wouldn’t a Nov. 14 delivery still be possible though? Its going to arrive in AK morning of Nov.13 which gives it almost a day and a half to go wherever it needs to before being delivered to us. Or atleast Nov. 15.....🙁

I got the same departure scan but still no delivery date assigned.
 
Mine was Nov 14, rescheduled to 15, then to "information unavailable". Two days in ZhengZhou, then three in Incheon, but I woke up to a departure scan at 2:28 PM KST, so my fingers are crossed that it made it onto UPS49!

Amusingly, the iPhone X curse seems to have struck closer to home, too. I ordered a case from Amazon on Friday night. Prime one-day shipping was supposed to get it here Sunday, and it was out for delivery at 2:22 PM but it never showed. Out for delivery again this morning. Never had that happen before. 😱
 
My tracking also show 6:50 pm departure scan from Incheon. Hopefully it will get here by Wednesday. If so, I will return the Still seal in box one I picked up yesterday at apple store.

Just open that one up and use it! And return the one that arrives in the mail. Unless it’s not the spec you prefer.

My shipment was rescheduled from the 14th to the 16th. I’m so glad I got one in store last week. This shipping fiasco is a nightmare!

Hope feedback on the launch and delivery delay is reaching Apple management. The UPS delay is terrible; more phones coming out of factories in China than UPS can handle. Expedited Delivery is supposed to be 4-5 days worldwide. My phone left ZhengZhou on Nov 7th and sat 4 days in Korea before finally moving this morning.

I used to marvel at the efficiency of the shipping process and how phones moved from China to our doors here in 4 or 5 days. Not so much any more. It's been 6 days since shipping so far and it's not in North America yet. UPS is forecasting but not confirming delivery on Thursday which would be 9 days.

Hopefully won't sit again in Anchorage, but we'll see in a couple of hours. Must be quite the backlog 🙁

I’m in the same boat. Originally said Nov. 14 delivery then went to info unavailable and changed yesterday to Nov. 16.

It now shows it’s arrived in AK. Can it really take 3 days to get from AK to Vancouver? 14th or 15th would be nice as I’m off those days. Back to work on the 16th 😕
