This was the way I have done it last two times - picked up in store (opens 8a) and out the door within 15-20mins if setup with Rogers at the store is efficient.

I did the reserve and pick up for my iPhone 6 Plus and it was such an easy process. I just don't see anywhere on their site that mentions reservations. The last time it was a different section on their site to get a reservation.

How is the Apple Store for returns regarding pre-ordered iPhones? How difficult is it to get a pre-order through, this would be my first time pre-ordering an iPhone at launch so I'm not quite sure what to expect.

Any other tips for what to expect regarding the pre-order?

I wonder which exact model (A16xx or A17xx) Canada will get. In the US the AT&T and T-Mobile phones are A17xx and do not support CDMA networks. Looking at the LTE carrier page (http://www.apple.com/iphone/LTE/), seems like Canada will be getting the same A17xx, since that's where the Canadian carriers are listed. Can anyone confirm whether this affects us at all? I don't think any of the major Canadian carriers use the CDMA network that Spring/Verizon uses but I could be wrong.

You get 14 days to return it. Second always up in the air to get the preorder. As long as you are ready 12amPST. Make
Sure you set up your apple online store account on the app. Input all your address and credit cards all ready to go so that you. Don't waste time inputing it.At that time. And cross your fingers it
Goes through. Site may crash. Same old story every year. But they might have a pick up option/reserve in store. Just be ready 12 am PST

Thank you bud. So apple online system uses PST as standard time in Canada?
Apple is based in California where it is PST. Midnight PST is when the system goes live for preorders around the world and you have to know what time that means for your local time zone.

Gotcha. Damn...1am at my timezone.

I never did the online reservation or ordering thing before. I am also not familiar with the Apple.com app. I have it installed on the iPad.

Is there a tutorial or something that can help us navigate through their website or app, whichever is the easiest and fastest way to the iPhone? I have feeling this might be like one of those online Boxing Day sales where servers are slow or just stagnate.

If your going pay that much then it's worth getting the color you want, not settle for a color that's in stock. That's what I think.
Sure. But if you are going to get up in the wee hours to order you probably are doing so because you want to get your new phone on Sep. 16th. Less of a chance of that with new colours.

Sounds like the JB will be very prone to scratches though so if that sort of thing bugs you....

Is the Apple Store app quicker than the website to get a pre-order completed? I've read conflicting accounts about which is quicker and more reliable
