A reminder that unlocking our phones is finally free, & all new phone now onwards are unlocked by default. The way it should be, just another day playing catch up to USA. Just unlocked mine with Rogers, about 10 mins through online chat, no issues after restoring through itunes & restoring backup.

I bought my iPhone X when I was in Toronto and I am using it in Greece without any issue.
I do not know the situation before this sim-free law that is in force right now but was this like US where you had to go with a carrier only (Rogers, Bell, Telus etc)?

This is for getting your device through a carrier, not from Apple which you probably did
