My wife broke her iPhone, and she is using a dumb phone until she is eligible for an upgrade.

So far everything is fine except the text messages. She can send text message from her dumb phone, but whenever I reply, that reply is sent to her iPhone (iMessage)? I have already deleted all of her messages on her iPhone, but the reply still goes to her SIM-less iPhone. And I even turn off her iMessage from the setting, but now she doesn't get any replies at all.

Just wonder if anyone else has experience similar situation? Did Apple takes over the messaging system?

Odd, does she have an iPad or anything? If the iPhone is turned off, the messages should go as SMS...

Is her iPhone on Wifi? Also, are you sure you are sending to her phone number and not her iMessage registered email address.
