I made a mistake in my order and didn't realize until the last minute.

It's Saturday 3am here in Sydney and the call centers only open Monday to Friday.

Is there anything I can do to cancel my order, perhaps a contact email I can send Apple? on the website it basically says I'm too late now but perhaps there is some way to cancel the order as it hasn't shipped yet.

Could I possible just reorder another Macbook pro and return the mistake for a full refund in-store?

Yup! No questions asked. No restocking fee.

So just to clarify, even if it's purchased online I can walk into an Apple store and return the Macbook Pro for a full refund in-store?

Ahh rats, just so annoyed with myself... theres got to be a way... Perhaps calling an American Apple call center that's open?

Well, if its a BTO, you might have to call and they will just send you a box to mail it back, but the computer can be returned with no problem. I'd call the store though. they might take it back there.

I don't mind calling apple because their reps always speak clear english unlike every other tech support company lol.

The guy said (I wanted the 7200rpm Drive instead of the 5700rpm) that they might change the HDD in the Apple store if they have it in stock and if they don't they will order it in at no cost and swap it out for me.

This seems a bit too good to be true? Anyone experienced anything like this before?

Perhaps because they both cost the same?

Yup. Not unusual, but what was his reason for upgrading your drive? The 7200 drive is a bit more expensive, but not much.

It's not more expensive, exactly the same cost. That was my mistake in my order. I chose the 5200rpm instead of the 7200rpm.

Hopefully my Local Apple store will change out the drive for me for free.

I ment it cost Apple a bit more from the manufacturer. Should be no problem then if the cost is not different for the consumer.

Hope so, will call my local Apple store tomorrow and make sure I don't open the box so they know they're getting an unused HDD if they decide to do a swap.

Anyway, 3am now, sleep time.

See ya mate. (Do all American's find our Aussie accent funny lol?)

Nope. I find it to be badass. Like you just finished wrestling a crock and somebody better get you a Fosters right quick 'fore somebody gets a beatin'.
