canceling mobileme

the last time i did the trial, i know it deleted the contacts from my phone but does it delete it from my computer too? i cant remember

If syncing was enabled at the time, then deleting the items from your iPhone would have deleted them on the Mac also.

To make sure nothing bad happens, just disable MobileMe syncing on your Mac in System Preferences. Once you've done that, nothing can possibly get deleted by issues with cancellation, etc.

Address Book has a backup/export feature. Use that to be safe.
