Meh... I only choose Walmart if I need to buy socks, a bag of Cheetos, underwear & condoms at 3am. Otherwise... I'll let the pros at Apple handle my iPhone order.

Good call. I'm sure Wal Mart gets the bad batches of iPhones and not the ones that are the same everywhere else.

thats fu*king crazzzy!!!

my taxes were:
$17.66 for an 16gb phone being sent to my mom in nyc
$12 something for an 16gb phone being sent to my sister at penn state
$18 something for my 32gb phone sent to me in cincinnati ohio.

I also live in Cali. I pay $73 dollars Tax for a 64 GB iPhone 5 pre order. But not $100.

Yes, Walmart and Sam's charge you taxes from the subsidized price because they sell it as a warehouse, and there is a different tax policy on them.
So for a 16gb iPhone 5, I paid $55 in taxes (depends where you live in CA). If I would get it from Walmart, I would save $39, which I don't want to save because I get my iPhone this Friday. I would pay this $39, just bring the cellphone to my doorsteps.

Curious...how does anyone expect to keep a preorder going and buy an upgrade in a store?
