iPhone 5 or earlier Cancelling a contract

I want to cancel a contract I ordered they are refusing to do this and still want to delivery on Wednesday in Uk. Why can’t they put a stop to the order and refund my £50?

With Apple? One one occasion I was at home to to refuse an Apple TV delivery and was credited by Apple two days later.
