So I bought a MBP on finance with Barclays. But I want to return it and cancel the agreement.

I'm still in Apple's return window, so would I be penalised by Barclays for cancelling early?

it works like a credit card, I'm assuming that if it's returned and the balance is put back on the card, you will have a zero balance, hence no penalty.

however you most likely would have a credit card with $0 balance open in your name

I'm assuming the OP is in the UK (Midlands), in which case the finance from Barclays is a most likely a personal loan.
