Down south
I was finally able to get my ATT stuff straight today, and pre-order a 12 there with my upgrade. It’s only gonna be a few days behind my Apple delivery. I want to cancel the Apple order, but it doesn’t give me the option anywhere, even though the email I got says I can go to Order Status and make changes or cancel.

I even chatted with Apple and they could’t really answer anything.

Ideas?

If an order has moved from “just” processing to preparing for shipping you cannot cancel the order. You will have to receive it, make an appointment with a specialist and return in store.

Okay well yeah it’s preparing to ship, so that explains it.

I think I can just mail it back though - don’t have to go into the store. I don’t even know if our store is back open.

If I’m not mistaken it usually means it has already shipped or in the process of shipping. I am on the same boat as you.

Yes, you can definitely mail it back. I only suggested “shopping with a specialist” because the time to refund will be significantly shorter that way.

Yea likely you are in the preparing for shipment page. You'll just have to wait till you get the package and then start the process return.

I would suggest the same. However I did not have any problems returning a product as a walk in at my apple store

Indecisive again ? :p

Nah - not yet anyway. I was just having trouble with ATT, so I ordered from Apple, but finally got my ATT online account back straight and the shop date was only 4 - 6 days after Apple so I figured I’d just order through them instead of having a separate payment.

I’ll at least get to check it out Friday when it arrives from Apple.

I’m in a similar situation. I decided to get the 12 Pro instead of the 12, so now I have to return it and wait for my credit card and gift card refunds. Chat with Apple and get a label printed out. As soon as you receive your delivery on Friday just pack it up and drop it off at Fedex as soon as possible. Apple is pretty quick about refunds. Refusing delivery will more than likely take longer than a standard return.

I was torn because my price difference just isn’t that much after bumping to the 128 on the 12. I just really don’t want the added weight.

What made you decide to go with the pro?

It was mostly due to the photography capabilities. I wasn’t aware at first that the Pro combined deep fusion and proraw. That and the extra 2gb of ram convinced me. I always shoot raw with my DSLR, so having it on my phone will be quite useful. I would have never spent this much on a phone, but I do believe that the Pro line is completely worth it this year.
