It's odd though, since the crispy M&Ms basically had miniature Rice Krispies in them. I wouldn't think those were peanut products.

Confection makers love things like this. Witness Aero, Coffee Crisp, Kit Kat, etc.

Anything with air in them is golden.

People in this country are paranoid about that kind of thing.

As the parent of a child with food allergies (including peanut) I am glad that folks are becoming more paranoid about this kind of stuff.

Clear and consistent allergen warnings are necessary. I wish I could get back all the time I have spent reading over the fine print in ingredients over the years that would have been saved by clear, consistent labeling.
