Cannot boot from USB - Mavericks OS X

    Hi guys,
    i have a macbook air late 2008, it was working perfectly until some day,i was
    watching a video,and it just freezes..
    then i have to force restart it an so on, i cant start without freezing the screen i like...5 minutes or less...
    So i decided to format it... but the problem is i cant boot from USB too...
    heres the verbose :

    Try booting from a different USB or an external drive if possible.
    Actually, I might be mistaken, but it looks like you're trying to boot from the .dmg. I don't think that's possible.

    See if you can make a bootable USB, not just plunking the installer on a USB.

    Edit: Not sure if you can do this, but try Command + R and go into recovery.
