    Hey everyone.

I got my hands on an iPhone last night however, I'm having a few problems connecting to my WiFi Access Point.

My SSID is not broadcast (I typed it in manually)

It's WPA2 Personal protected with AES (I typed my passphrase but it does not give me the option to choose between TKIP or AES)

DHCP is disabled (I set a static IP Address, Subnet mask and Gateway/Router with proxy turned off)

Mac Address restrictions in place (iPhone Mac Address is enabled just like MBP and PS3)

I have a MBP and PS3 going through the AP so I know it works. If I can't get this to work, it'll be going back. Any ideas anyone?

No probs. Hope it has worked for you.

I've actually sorted my original problem. I must have been doing something wrong unless there was a glitch somewhere. What I did was:

    • Took all security off access point
    • Esured that the SSID was visible
    • Made sure I could access the Access Point (which I could)
    • Changed the SSID back to hidden
    • Tested - still worked
    • Restricted by Mac Address - had to do this a number of times as my changes weren't being saved. Maybe this was the cause of the problems?
    • Tested - still worked
    • Added encryption in steps i.e. WEP>WPA>WPA2
    • Tested - all worked fine.
    • SORTED.

Hopefully this help may be of benefit to someone else having similar issues.
