Cannot connect to internet and no App Nap in Get Info

Yesterday I downloaded Mavericks and installed it for the first time and earlier on today I was able to connect to the internet. But I disconnected for a few hours and now I am unable to re-connect to the internet though the wifi connection shows it is connected.
And I don't have App Nap in the Get Info tab.

Can anyone help me solve these problems?

The universal Get Info for a file or folder or even a hard drive.

App Nap is set on a per-Application basis but not all apps will allow you to disable it.
