iPad mini Cannot Connect to iTunes Store

    I swapped iPads with my son and am now trying to restore my profile to his iPad Mini (Retina). I keep getting the "cannot connect to iTunes Store" message. I have tried: resetting network settings, resetting all settings, restore from an older one of my profiles, changing date (suggestion from google search), and restoring as new.

    Nothing seems to be working. My family and I use the same iTunes account and password and we don't have issue on any of the other devices.

    Any suggestions?

    Wait, as it's probably Apple getting hammered with 8.2 update request. I have had those issues in the past around similar times.

    I didn't think about that, except I've had this problem since Sunday night, before the release of 8.2.

    My issue has nothing to do with the outage, as I've had it since Sunday and remains after the store came back up.
