Cannot connect to update or appstore

    I am unable to connect to the app-store or update my MBP. I notice other programs like adobe can not update also. Firefox and safari browsers are working fine so is utorrent. I have tried at work and at home and the problem is the same. When I click on update it tells me it cannot connect to the internet. When I choose the diagnostics button, there is nothing wrong with the connection.

    Any ideas to my problem greatly appreciated. I am fairly new to mac. :confused::confused::confused:

    I am running Lion 10.7. PC is 17" 1920x1200 Display. 2.2Ghz Quad i7. 8GB RAM. 750GB HD. AMD 6750M 1GB

    Try creating another account and see if it does the same there

    Ok figured it out.

    Proxy servers were set for my work place and not good at home....:):)
