Thanks for the info. Sometimes it is better to get real user experience than what the manufacturer says.

I don't use the Windows Backup app, so that's all I can provide.

Take my advice and use (long_path_tool) for fast and easiest way to fix your problem.Let me know if i helped you.

"Long_Path_Tool" is a very old piece of malware. I'm surprised this forum doesn't ban all mention of it (most do) but it probably would be blocked by anyone even reasonably up to date AV (including the one built into Windows).

"Let me know if I helped you" is a phrase not changed since 1992.

In any case you can use long path names in Windows. What you can't do is use the Windows File Explorer to see them. In old programs the old 260 character limit still exists.
